Graduate & Trainee Programmes
Placements are designed to support student degree programmes by providing opportunities to work on projects and activities that can be used for final-year assignments. Students, depending on the length of time with the Company, undertake a series of placements within relevant departments of the organisation to ensure that maximum benefit is gained from the experience. Departmental placements are agreed prior to commencement of the contract, with the relevant Training Officer and departmental Manager/Supervisor. As well as having the opportunity to reinforce academic studies, students also have the added benefits of a competitive salary, annual leave entitlement and a well established support network.
'Year Out' Industrial PlacementsCovering a 12-month period from July to June
Engineering Undergraduate Placements
Entry Requirements:
- 3 'A' Levels (Grades A-C) including Maths and Science.
- Must be studying for a relevant degree at a recognised institution with an average achievement of 65% in each year of study.
AgustaWestland has a proud tradition of working with a number of world class institutions and academic establishments in order to support its advanced technology programmes. Part of this tradition is the recruitment of Engineering Undergraduates on to the Undergraduate Placement Programme.
Individuals will have an aptitude for Aerospace, Mechanical, Avionic, Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering. Whilst achieving the highest grades, individuals must possess excellent communication, team-working and motivational skills, balancing a sound engineering knowledge with the ability to think outside the box. The capability to solve challenging issues and work within defined parameters is a prerequisite.
Business Undergraduate Placements
Entry Requirements:
- 3 'A' Levels (Grades A-C) including a business related subject.
- Must be studying for a relevant degree at a recognised institution with an average achievement of 65% in each year of study.
The Business Undergraduate Placement Programme aims to attract and develop high quality individuals who may go on to become managers or specialists.
Work will be diverse, working in areas such as Procurement, Programmes, Finance, HR, Customer Service and Sales and Marketing.
