This is a 2-year training programme, commencing in September each year.
Entry Requirements
Entrants to the scheme will have gained a minimum qualification level of a degree in one of the following subject areas:
- Engineering
- International Business
- Human resources
- Economics
- Business Administration
- Related degree
Post-Graduate trainees have a pre-determined role/destination when recruited by the Company. The training programme provides a personalised placement plan to prepare you for this, covering key objectives relating to specific, individual and business goals.
Each trainee also has a number of other development opportunities, including:
- Company specific training (trainees are required to complete the Integrated Development Programme, to develop management skills, and Italian Language Training for future interaction with our Italian colleagues)
- Involvement with activities such as Young Enterprise (to ensure wider skills development)
- Other courses relevant to your chosen area of Business, as and when the need arises
In the past, our Post-Graduate programmes have run in the following areas:
- Engineering
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Procurement
- Project Management
- Sales and Marketing
Each year the Company recruits into some, or all, of the above areas, however the need for graduates in each area changes annually according to business needs.

Engineering Post-Graduate programme
Post-Graduate opportunities are available within the wise variety of departments within the Engineering function. Individuals will gain experience through a series of structured engineering placements.
Placements could include:
- Avionics
- Electrical Systems
- Electrical Design
- Structural Engineering
- Rotor Systems
- Aerodynamics
- Structural Test
- Software Engineering
Developing Engineers
Graduates on our Engineering Post Graduate scheme will automatically benefit from our Developing Engineers Programme, which ensures the continued development of our engineers. The Developing Engineers Programme will help you to work towards Professional Engineer Status, network with other engineers and give you access to many events relevant to your career.
The aim of the programme is to develop a significant population of highly trained and experienced engineers, who are flexible, responsive and able to operate proactively within a fast changing and dynamic global marketplace.
Business Post-Graduate programme
During the programme, you will complete a series of placements around each department of your chosen area of Business, to gain a full understanding of the domain.
In the past, placements have included HR, Procurement, Programme Management, Sales and Marketing and Finance.
For example, a Post-Graduate trainee in HR would complete placements within the various HR departments, including Training and Development, Recruitment, HR Administration, Employee Relations etc.
Whilst in each placement, you.ll be involved in challenging project work and departmental activities that will give you a real insight into the area of interest.
Professional Development
Professional development is a fundamental element of the programme as you will be funded through the relevant professional qualification for your chosen business area; for example in Finance, trainees would complete the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants qualification. You will complete the qualification with a local training provider on half-day release from work and are given 2i½ days study leave a year, in order to revise for exams, complete coursework etc.
