This is a 2-year programme, commencing in September each year. Upon completion of the programme, successful individuals will be placed in administrative, secretarial, clerical and junior officer roles within the Company.
Entry Requirements:
- 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including Maths and English
Year 1
Trainees have planned placements in various departments within the organisation, such as Procurement, Finance, Customer Service, HR and Sales and Marketing. Each placement will last for up to 16 weeks and allows trainees to gain experience in a broad range of business areas. Academically, trainees undertake the following qualifications at Yeovil College on half-day release from work:

NVQ Level 2
Business Administration
Microsoft Training
Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project
Young People Launch Pad
Personal development programme
e.g. Working in Teams, Presentation Skills, Customers and Customer Focus etc
Year 2
In Year 2 you will embark on a BTEC Award in Business to compliment the NVQ programme and raise academic level. The BTEC is a 2-year programme so the students complete this study during their first year as an employee. Within the workplace, trainees continue to complete planned placements around various departments of the Business.
